Ali Seddiki was appointed by His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, as General Director of the Moroccan Investment and Exports Development Agency “AMDIE” in July 2022.

He was previously Director General of Investment and Business Climate at the Ministry of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies. As part of his responsibilities Mr. Seddiki oversaw the development strategy, promotion, facilitation and monitoring of investments. He was also responsible for improving the procedures for accompanying and supporting investments.

From 2019 to 2021, Mr. Seddiki was General Director in charge of Industry in the Ministry of Industry, Trade, Green and Digital Economy. He was in charge of developing the Moroccan industrial sector, which currently employs more than 800.000 people and generates $24 billion in exports. His scope of intervention encompassed regulation improvement, FDI development, and industrial supply chain densification.

Prior to this, He was Director in charge of Aeronautics, Rail, Naval and Renewable Energies in the Ministry of Industry. He was project leader for the Boeing ecosystem in Morocco: a program with the Boeing Company aiming at creating 8.700 jobs and generating $1 billion economic impact in the Moroccan aeronautical industry.

As a member of the Minister of Industry’s office, Mr. Seddiki was in charge of setting up the Industrial Acceleration Plan (IAP), a 5-year strategy for boosting the Moroccan industry launched in 2014. He was in charge of setting up the IAP for Steel, Textile, Aerospace, Naval, Rail and Renewable Energies.

Prior to that, Mr. Seddiki worked in a Strategy Consulting firm based in France and specialized in Aeronautics Defense & Space, O&G, Construction, Renewable Energy and Mobility. His former assignments include Corporate Strategies, Corporate Reorganization and Internationalization for leading industrial firms.

He earned a Master of Science degree from HEC Paris Grande Ecole.
