LESSONS FROM THE FIELD: The Role Of Digitized Logistics In The Making Of A World-Power-Africa

Africa is moving - moving from being the top destination of aids and relief packages to being a world power - and that’s more of a fact than a hopeful wish. The recent roll out of the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) will be a major driver on which this world-power Africa will be delivered. Over the next decade, Africa will witness a significant rise in industrial activities, massive agricultural export and more, and at the heart of all these will be a major stepup of logistics activities across Africa, data driven, blockchain optimized, AI powered and digitized logistics. We’ll walk through the current logistics value chain in Africa, the AfCFTA, the expectations it brings on the continent’s logistics industry and how a strategic integration of tech would help the logistic industry rise gallantly to the occasion.
