Nicolette is a Senior Solicitor at Laura Devine Immigration in London. She has focused on UK immigration and nationality law since joining in 2007. Nicolette advises clients on a wide range of applications, including all tiers of the points-based system (PBS), non-PBS categories (UK Ancestry and sole representative routes), Tier 2 and Tier 4 sponsor licence applications and employer compliance support. She has had notable successes in complex initial and extension applications for Tier 1 (Investor), Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) and Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) routes. Nicolette is also a leading voice in the new Startup and Innovator categories. In addition, Nicolette advises clients on European Settlement Scheme (EUSS) applications, EU free movement and permanent residence in the UK for EEA nationals and their non-EEA family members (including Chen, Zambrano and Surinder Singh applicants), as well as on applications for indefinite leave to remain in the UK and naturalisation and registration as British citizens. BUSINESS MIGRATION: Brexit and EU nationals working in the UKOnline
The Brexit transition period ended on 31 December 2020 and EU free movement no longer applies in the UK. Nicolette Bostock (Senior Solicitor at Laura Devine Immigration) will explore the practical implications of the end of free movement for EU nationals and their family members who wish to reside and work in the UK. In particular, Nicolette will discuss the EU Settlement Scheme, the grace period, family permits and frontier worker permits. Nicolette will also cover the new UK immigration system which launched in December 2020, including the permitted activities business visitors may carry out in the UK under this system.
