Megan Williams is a Foreign Direct Investment Strategic Advisor for Business Finland with a focus in cleantech (renewable energy, wind power, solar power) smart manufacturing and batteries. She has 15 years of experience in international business, multinational organizations and government relations. Megan has worked in many diverse roles including establishing and running two successful businesses in sustainable development and trade. Additionally, she has worked for the World Bank, the United States government and foreign governments. In these roles she has worked to implement policies, promoted trade, investment and fostered bilateral relationships between the United States, international businesses and governments. Megan has extensive global work and business experience with significant research in international conflict analysis, negotiation and mediation. Megan holds a Global Masters of Arts degree in international relations and conflict management, a Bachelors of Arts degree in sociology and international relations a certification in Negotiation and Mediation and a certification in Negotiating in international conflicts.

As energy needs increase worldwide, the demands to find answers for energy consumption, production and distribution intensifies. With the cold climate, dark seasons, long distances and energy intensive industry has lead Finland to become one of the forerunner countries in smart energy solutions. As Finland consistently ranks high in this area the world sees firsthand the capability Finland has in the green economy.
