TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS: Unbundling of Legal Services through LegalTechOnline
According to studies conducted in the UK in 2015, more than half of the small businesses will try to resolve legal issues on their own despite not having any legal capacity (87%). Most businesses use legal services as a last resort due to costs. Only 13% believe legal services as being cost effective, with a wide discrepancy in the level of satisfaction. Over 80% of the lawyers believe that they are delivering above average service but only 40% of the clients agree. One way to resolve this is through the unbundling of legal services, legal provider and consumer to share the legal work between them. Unbundled legal advice is cheaper, and it allows the consumer to have more control over their legal matter. Consumers typically have very positive experiences with unbundling, and the trend will continue with the advent of legal tech with DIY services like DocPro.
