Carla Vázquez Wallach, graduated in law with postgraduate degrees in Law Business and Public International Law by the National University Autonomous of México, has more than 20 years of experience in different organizations specialized in corporate areas, foreign investment within the public and private. As Deputy General Director of Business Policy, at the Ministry of Economy successfully designed and implemented reforms to legal framework in order to improve the business environment in Mexico; such as the electronic system through which the Simplified Stock Companies are constituted, the System of Simplified Dissolution and Liquidation of Commercial Companies as well as commercial actions against money laundering and financing terrorism through the identification of the final beneficiary of the Business. She has participated in different international forums representing Mexico such as the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, the Financial Action Task Force of Latin America, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and the World Trade Organization, sharing experiences on business innovation policies, online dispute resolution mechanisms as well as new technologies to develop methods of authentication, traceability, electronic signatures, protecting minority investors policies and best practices on enforcing contracts. Also, she led the renegotiation of the Mexico-EU FTA and the Digital Agenda of Pacific Alliance regarding electronic signature dispositions, achieving the inclusion of cross border recognition of trusted services.
